Polish Pickup August 2020: Weird Science This month's inspo is nacre (aka mother of pearl), it's one of the toughest materials created by nature. So much so that scientists have been researching it for some time in hopes to be able to recreate it. Nacre is a clear based fluid art polish with a pinky purple to green shifting pearly pigment and green glass specks. This polish is used to create the spotted or cell effect as seen in fluid art nail polish designs. Use with 2 or more creme based colors in your polish collection. You just need one fluid art polish for cells to form. More cells will form the more runny or thin your polishes are. You CAN use polishes with flakies, holo etc. It's a myth that these types of polishes will not work for fluid art. It's all about the formula of the fluid art polishes. It's best to not use glitter polishes, the glitter will usually inhibit the cell/spot formation.
